“Stop acting small. You are the universe in ecstatic motion.” – Rumi
That is the amount of time it took for me to come to my senses. 08:30 and her face bursts onto the screen of my phone, for a moment O R Tambo International Airport was at a standstill as our screams of excitement echoed to the depths of my heart. 7 544 miles could not contain the amount of love shared in that short time. My best friend, my adventure buddy, the person who made me laugh uncontrollably for two years, the only person willing to sing Bon Jovi’s Livin’ On A Prayer at midnight with all the windows rolled down.
This is my first post.
The first of many.
I’m ready to share my stories, the many I’ve been bottling up. I’m ready to trash fear in the garbage and enjoy this journey I’ve been shying from. I’m no longer living in the shadows of my au pair journey, I will clutch onto that time in one hand and stretch out the other to grab onto the next amazing journey…
My last post, I made a confession on how things have been going, how I let fear control my 2017 and with that my blog suffered. I see my stats and I am extremely disappointed with 2017 Bianca…
She was careless, forgetful of her love for travel and writing, careless with you, the people who supported this platform from the beginning, she began dwindling into a hole, so close to forgetting herself in a process she had no idea she was going through.
2018 Bianca will not take advantage of the opportunities presented to her on a daily basis. This Bianca is going for the long run…
… and I hope you are ready to run with me.
Dreamers, let’s take back our magic, our souls, and our weapons – the ambitions we were stripped off because of fear and hate.
Let love win.
**This post is dedicated to my best friend, Itsumi. In 6 minutes, you reminded me of all the dreams I have hidden away in the last year. You didn’t need to say much, our screaming and our giggles reminded me of happiness only you were able to give in the time we spent together. It was a reminder that in every single moment there is something to smile about, something to be grateful. I am most grateful for your role in my life. – I love you shin’yu
