The thankful birthday

Happy Thanksgiving… and a happy birthday to me.

Having my birthday on a beautiful day like this one, I feel extremely blessed.

As the tradition goes,  for thanksgiving you reflect on everything in your life that you should be thankful for, so I did just that.

I’m thankful that I made into my twenties, a brand new chapter in my life, one that I am very excited about.

I am thankful for my family, the sacrifices and support of my parents, the endless amounts of love from my extended family and my new family – The Merlino’s. They have made my transition from SA to the U.S. a very pleasant time for me.

I am thankful for everything I’ve accomplished so far in my life, all the lessons I have learnt, and those I am yet to learn.

To  have this opportunity, that is what I am most thankful for, to be able to live a life that some people will never experience.
